Distressing

There are so many ways to distress a piece of furniture. I have tried different techniques to get the end result I desire. The one main technique that I use is sandpaper. At first I thought that using sandpaper would leave marks on the piece rather than making it look distressed. But when you do it correctly, it looks awesome! 

I watch you tube videos to find different techniques for my work. Here is one channel I love watching because it gives you great instructions on how to get the end result you are looking for. Its easy to watch and follow.
